How to Use Assignments

Assignments allow the teacher to specify a task that requires students to ready content and submit it for grading. Typical assignments include essays, projects, reports, etc. You tin use the assignments module for any assignment you brand for a class, online or offline.

Submission settings

Group submission settings

Viewing submissions past group

  • If you chose to have groups in common module settings, you can choose to view the submissions of 1 group at a time in the grading table.
    • Navigate to the assignment page. All participants will brandish past default. This means the grading table will show all participants in the class and their submissions.

Locking submissions

  • If Require students click submit button is set to No in the (No is the Default as of Fall 2019) Submission settings, this allows the students to changes to their submission, usually be Uploading another file. If Require students click submit button is ready to Yes, this prevents the educatee from irresolute their submission (subject to Additional attempts => Manually => Greater than 1)

Using the Student Grading Folio

Overview

Giving feedback and assigning grades

  • Comment PDF: The review panel is made up entirely of this function. You can employ the toolbar at the peak to add comments, depict, add shapes, and more directly on acme of the student's submission. The PDF and the toolbar together make upward the review panel.

Offline grading

Quick grading assignments

Quick grading allows you to enter numeric grades directly into the grading table, bypassing the more detailed student grading page.

Annotation:

  • If you desire to give feedback other than feedback comments, you lot need to use the student grading page. You tin give feedback comments using quick grading.
  • Quick grading is incompatible with avant-garde grading, such as Rubrics, and is non recommended when in that location are multiple graders.

How to grade by Registrar sections?
